Afro-Delic Electric Eclectic Poetics

Public·3 Afro-Delics

Gold

When you're gold in an age of plastic

You'd think you'd be celebrated

Even venerated

But there's so much hatred it's

Codified

In a world of additives and preservatives

 InI vitamin fortified

They horrified

Worried I'd-

Destroy their house of cards

These glass nations would be reduced to shards

So they guard

And become overzealous

Pretend to be the end all to be all

But they really jealous

Let them tell it- they the epitome

Shinning city… on the hill

Only to those who can't think critically

Analytically

Politically correct- they vexed

With any form of truth, justice, liberty

And they hate context

Definition, connotation, uncluttered speech

Is a threat

Any form of excellence is met

With disrespect

So the Golden, the shining, the beautiful

Must negotiate

How much beauty in this society

We're willing to radiate
